Volunteers are welcome to join Chorley Council Ranger Service to help manage and maintain Withnell Local Nature Reserve and Railway Park. Both sites are managed primarily for wildlife and follow ecological management plans to direct the work and projects that are carried out. Get involved in activities such as raking the cuttings from the wildflower meadows, painting signage and maintaining fencing and entrances, making benches and bird boxes, thinning trees and planting wildflowers and creating improved pathways.

Meet at Fellstone Vale entrance on the 1st Monday of the Month at 10am – 2pm. Everyone welcome, just come along and join in.
